How To Get your Blogger Posts to Autopost to your Social Networks

Posted on July 28, 2016

I’m a big fan of getting technology to save time, and getting your Blogger posts to autoshare to your social networks definitely counts as a time saver. An added bonus is if you pre-schedule posts because you’re away and not able to access the internet or social media, then this takes one worry away. The post goes live by the magic of technology, and is shared to social media by the magic of technology.

So here goes…

1. Sign up for a Twitterfeed account

2. Sign in to the account, and click ‘create new feed’

3. Add your feed name and the website URL. Twitterfeed should then automatically grab the RSS information they need from there. To make sure, click the ‘test rss feed’ button

4. Click ‘advanced settings’ if you want to tweak settings such as how many updates you want to post at a time, how often the feed should be checked, etc

5. When you’re done, click ‘continue to step 2’

6. To make things easier, open new tabs and sign in to your Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts (or whichever of these you want to link up with)

7. Go back to the Twitterfeed tab and click ‘Twitter’

10. You’ll be pinged back to Twitterfeed. Click the ‘Create Service’ button

11. Repeat options 7 through 10 for Facebook and LinkedIn (or additional Twitter accounts, if you wish), following the prompts as you go

12. When you’ve set up the accounts you wish to add, click the ‘All Done!’ button

13. You’ll then see page confirming your setup. If you want to add more sites or more social networks, click the ‘Go to Dashboard’ button. If you’re all done… happy surfing (and autosharing to social media!).

P.S. This isn’t just for Blogger sites, by the way. It should work for any site with an RSS feed. But if you’re a WordPress user, there’s a better way to do it, and I’ll be covering that in a future post.
